# Importing contacts on the Punkt MP01 with a VCF file

*The phone mounts as a USB drive, no cloud needed.*

> The Punkt MP01 has no cloud sync. Connect it to a computer, where it appears as a small USB thumb drive, and copy a VCF file with your contacts onto it. The phone detects the file and imports your address book by itself.

The MP01 does not connect to the cloud, so contact synchronisation the way an iPhone does it is not available. Instead, connect the phone to a computer over USB and it presents itself as a tiny USB thumb drive.
Copy a single file onto it containing your contacts in VCF format; that export is available on Apple Mac, Microsoft Windows and Google Gmail. The phone detects the file and imports your address book easily.
There is no companion software and no account involved: you copy one file, which fits a phone that was deliberately designed without apps or internet.
