The content lives in the CMS as it always did. The generator that turns it into a static site is itself content: a ZIP checked into the Manager, built and rebuilt by agents, so every site can have its own without a deployment pipeline. The dull work went to the agents: scaffolding, templates, the hundred small fixes after a screenshot. My time went to the things that matter, the concept, the copy, the judgement about what is good enough. It was exhausting, exhilarating and highly rewarding at the same time. The ambition is unchanged, build systems, not projects. What changed is the speed.
